About Murwillumbah

Murwillumbah town (population over 8000) is an historic art deco town with many buildings dating back to 1920. Looking up the main street you can see Mount Warning/ Wollumbin and looking down the street you have the Tweed River. Murwillumbah is the commercial capital of the region with hospitals, medical and health service, courthouse, legal community services. There is industry and manufacturing, supermarkets, cafes and retail which means residents do not need to go outside the town to get everything they require.

Murwillumbah is a place where the lifestyle is relaxed and informal, the people friendly and welcoming. You can choose from one of the many al fresco cafés and restaurants in town, or maybe you'd prefer to dine at one of the several pubs and clubs. Whichever you choose, your meal is bound to include fresh, local produce as well as a friendly chat on the best places to visit during your stay.
