Murwillumbah Art Trail 2017: Past, present, future
The Murwillumbah Art Trail (MAT) is an exhibition of contemporary art that showcases artists of the Tweed Valley and surrounds. Over a 6-day period, May 25-30, the town and shops become the gallery and visitors are invited to follow the exhibition trail. It includes established galleries, artists’ studios, pop up galleries and public art.
The Murwillumbah Art Trail has had two successful multi-sited exhibitions in 2015 and 2016 and is heading for its third year in 2017.
Growing now into a larger event, this year we have a included a series of ticketed events and guided tours and included a Taste the Tweed food element - as art and food goes so well together.
This year's theme of Past, Present, Future invites artists to respond to the theme in relation to the region.
